Subject: New Climate Change Roadshow DVD, Blog and Palm Oil Campaign Brochures

Dear Friends, Many of you were at our Climate Change Roadshow sometime in this past year. I thought you might be interested in one of the following items.

1) New DVD (30 minutes) The Climate Change Roadshow & Ruth and Friends. includes brief excerpts from Ruth's roadshow at Wollongong along with the Al Gore clips, the Wombat, Vandana Shiva and David Korten. This dvd is free for those wishing to show it to others to inspire action on climate change or else by donation.

2) Palm Oil Campaign Brochures - As you probably know palm oil plantations are directly resulting in greenhouse gas emissions from the burning and clearfelling of peatland rainforests (not to mention the plight of the Borneo orangutan). With palm oil in 10% of food products including bikkies, margarine, chips, shampoos etc, the campaign brochure encourages consumers to write to companies to ask them to halt the use of unsustainable palm oil. 3) The Climate Change Roadshow website is now set up as a blog at http://www.climate.net.au with discussion on solutions, tree planting, nukes, etc as well as a discussion on "What Would Gandhi Do Now?" which begins with a very short film. Currently the Roadshow has just finished a quick tour in North Queensland and now Kelly Tudhope has taken the show to west coast of the US and Hawaii.
