Sustainable Maleny and the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre are excited to announce a planned visit to the successful and vibrant Brisbane community garden, Northey Street City Farm on Sunday 15th March.

A minibus will leave at 8am from the Neighbourhood Centre, Bunya Street, Maleny and arrive at Northey Street by approximately 9.30am. Bring your shopping bags as the weekly organic market will be in full swing when we arrive. At 10.30am, we will be taken through the City Farm gardens by one of Northey Street's dedicated volunteers. The tour will be geared towards a 'permaculture garden design and garden systems' perspective to enable current and upcoming community gardens in Maleny to benefit from Northey Street City Farm's extensive experience.

The fee for the day covers the cost of transport and a small donation to Northey Street City Farm, a non-profit community organisation. For more information about Northey Street go to http://www.northeystreetcityfarm.org.au/

This is a self-catering event. Bring your own lunch or pick up something yummy for lunch at the Sunday Organic Market. Also, BYO hat, sun protection and water :)

Places are limited, so register your interest as soon as possible by phoning Maleny Neighbourhood Centre on 54 999 345.

Come along, it will be a fun, informative and inspirational day!
