House Party
The Tupperware approach to community education
Invite a few friends over, show a film, pass out some handouts, have a discussion. Maybe write a letter to a politician or plan some action. Some of your guests may agree to host their own party. And the cycle continues. Hey, it worked for Tupperware!
Another Queensland group "RWBI" has already pioneered this approach.
We are in the process of putting together a "party pack" for Climate Change and/or Peak Oil which might include:
- A DVD of several short films
- Information fliers
- Inspiring "what you can do" handouts
- A guide to running a house party, including instructions on copying all of the above.
