How long have you lived in or near Maleny?: About a year.
Where did you live before moving here?: Last 27 years have been on the Sunshine Coast, mainly in the Eudlo area. Last 4 years have been in Buderim. Originally a Kiwi.
What enticed you to come and live in or around this town?: To be part of a community that was active in sustainability issues. The coffee shops are pretty good too.
What issue(s) are you most passionate and/or deeply concerned about?: Peak oil, climate change and the community response to them. How do we ensure food security etc. when the pooh hits the fan?
What hope(s) have you for the town and its people in 10 years time?: That we're all a bit happier and have things 'under control'.
What other 'more sustainable' activities/systems do you practice/use?: Vege gardening & composting, getting interested in biodynamics, currently studying renewable energy.
What sustainable practice/system related skills and knowledge would you be willing and confident to exchange with others?: Renewable energy advice.
What sustainable practice/system knowledge would you like to learn/improve?: More gardening, bamboo construction.
What do you think is the most important challenge or issue confronting the human race?: Adjusting our attitudes, overcoming greed and hatred.
What things do you most enjoy doing/experiencing in life?: Just hanging out.
